The blossoms of spring

By Ashteroth

This is dedicated to my love of children as they are my favorite thing in the whole world cuz its real hard to be angry when you're looking at one of those cute lil faces haha. Put things in perspective too!!

Just as I'm shutting the door to my heart
I was drawn by the sweetest laughter of a child
while I gaze into her eyes, I bask in the warmth of her love
and drift into the deep cool blue like a gentle ocean
which subdues my iron will and extinguishes the flames of fury
She has tempered a new key forged by the softest touch

Delicate and vibrant like a flower in spring
though her beauty is far more pleasing
a honey blossom who's subtle scent
can entice the gruffest man to one knee
for the chance our auras may meet

Her intrigue can rouse fairytale fantasy
even in the elderly
while her simple wisdom disarms the cynical
best yet, the promise of her love
is more sincere and certain to heal
than those bound by the Hippocratic oath

As she stands before me, I realize her and all alike
are fused to the essence of my being
the same that gives me will to live when all seems lost
and spurns the urge to strive for a better world

Thanks for that comment, this is in some way, actually sort of my fave piece more because of it's sentiment.
