fractured fairy tale

By Crush Room

Remind me of the night
you held me
And that's all you did.

A vivid memory of skin on skin
Aroused by touch;
And touch alone....

I think that was the time
I lost myself...

The pebbles that
shone in the dark night
were swept
away by the driving rain....

...and now, no matter how hard I try

.. I can't find my way home.

    This was so beautiful. It was soft, and lulling. The long lines followed by short lines gaves that quality to it. This is a peice that connects deeply, to arouse a memory, melting the heart of the reader. It's comforting, and at the same time...saddening. Hmm. Whatever the present situation, it is always lovely to know that the memories will always be preserved and untainted. :)
