i can't say anything unless it's everything
By heroineyes
i wonder if it's always night time
in a room dimly lit
by their conversation
(as vague as the candles).
we dance and sway to the music
of a perfectly spoken sonnet.
the beating of the song
just breaks down the walls,
where those persuasive rays
shine like summer time
glistening in Your eyes.
and we'll spread like waves from a radio,
shoot like sparks from a radio tower.
we won't spend our life pushing buttons
or singing blues on the way home
from work late in the night.
we're the touch of two lips.
we're the center of a kiss.
we are the sky falling
in love with the sea.
What's Left of Juilet (Protect Your Life Like a Secrect in Your Throat)
I see over the darkness of the city after the daylight and businessmen
fade away. You stalk the night, searching for another. It's not the first
time i've noticed your shadow in the first lights of the grey hours. You
follow me and i follow you. YOUR eyes set our route. I have a problem with
this city, and i'm pretty sure it's with you (or lack there of). I continue
onward, mapping my attack. I can smell your lust as you take each step
closer. Each moment you seem more aware of my stratagem, yet you continue
to follow.
Street light after street light, i can hear the click-click-click of your
heels behind me. It's tempo giving me all of my answers, showing me the
way. Departing from dreg and cigarette ashes, I turn down the J street
alley, knowing you'll find the door slightly ajar. Knowing you'll know.
I wait in the dim light for you to catch up. The door creaks open as you
enter with a hushed click-click-click of your heels. You shut the door
quietly. Instantly, silently (within the exception of your excited exhale)
your back is against the cold steel of the door, the warmth of my hands
on your neck and cheek. Our eyes meet for the first time in the invading
moonlight.
"In other time and place, i have dreamt of this embrace." The silence shattered
with your words. Our lips meet briefly. (Your exhale much more excited)
"Never has wine tasted like this, come once again, kiss my apocalypse [apoca-lips].
And with the flick of a tongue and the red of your lips write a suicide
note on the window," i respond calmly. With what seems gentle, i pierce
your soul.
"why choose which grass is greener, when we can stand on the fence?" you
laugh in realisation, as i sink into your neck.
Daydreamer (untitled 1)
when snow fell in mid-october, i lay on the bed, radio playing in the background;
I was daydreaming.
dreaming of a hope in the patterned sky.
reaching into my pocket, i threw a handful of sunshine out the window,
and towards the sky.
i dreamt of a place only i know. a place of cloudless skies, a place of
sunfilled meadows.
i walk through the meadows and sunshine with white lilies on my left, and
beaming yellow daisies to my right.
soaking up the sun like a wilted flower, it's here that i find You. eyes
closed, smile radiating, our spools of talk unravel like thread.
blooming from my sleep, beams of light flow through the blinds. the radio
still plays with Your arms wrapped around my body, fingers intertwined.
Your breath on my cheek, warm, and Your raven-colored hair lying across
my neck (like chinese silks), i open my eyes; roll over and realise.
in a place only we know, You sing beyond the genius of nature.
it's here, amongst the flowers, that i find You. so i sing in response:
sleep, wherever you may be may be, my Love.
whether on concrete or in the stars,
for tomorrow we'll kiss and
underneath Your pillow will be our song.
