A crack in the wall

By brainbent

Echoes in the chambers of terror dug graves,
and the loath and destruction of the man that I made.
All the twists and the warps and the gut wrenching stall.
All the red and the black and the drone of the fall.
I slipped down a road that apathy paved.
Where the hope and the hate had started to fade.
The whole thing shook at what I had saw.
My fingers had clung....There’s a crack in the wall.

Don't feel right, don't smell right all reeking of love.
Won't strike back when I give it a shove.
Soul blackened, eyes bloody, all set to appall.
The damn thing gets bigger…………

That crack in the wall.

Took piles of malice and boatloads of fear.
Tempered self hatred to hammer it sheer.
something broke in spilling light on the floor.
Burns up the ego and shows all the gore.
All the wriggling and wretched emotions inside.
Bound in denial and cemented in pride.
Weak and wounded the whole thing might fall.
Wont stand to the light or the truth of it all.
Dark hallways tremble when hope comes to call.

These monsters walk soft by the crack in the wall.
