trying again
By hopeless
I’ve tried to write with a pain
what I once had
those beautiful words flowing effortlessly from my mind
the showcase of reality has made it difficult
to write now seems like a carving
a sculpture of my own being
instead of it being effortless
what once came so easily
lays shattered
now a painful memory of what I once was
an opposite of what I now have become
carving pieces of my body, my heart and my beautiful soul

Almost any words are good words. Even so much out of date it was good to read your work again.

Writing shouldn't always just come easily, or effortless. In fact, when you're really writing poetry, you're saying things that would be difficult to say, and maybe take some craft to get right, and a bit of courage to show. No shame here. Keep writing. Writing is hard. Some people make it look easy, but to do it right, it's hard.

Or, maybe I'm misreading. Did I mention, well done? Well done.
