What I Hate About You
By daria_lost
I hate the way you smile at me
and how it makes me feel
I hate how you make me laugh
and how you make me cry
I hate how comfortable I feel with you
and the way you look at me
I hate the way you hold my hand
and the way you touch my back
I hate the way you drive
and the music that you like
I hate how stubborn you can be
and how you don't back down
I hate that you read the same books as me
and how you know me best
I hate that we can discuss anything
and how you respect my opinion
I hate how safe you make me feel
and how you tell me what to do
I hate the way you make me see the simple things
and how they seem so big
I hate this hold you have on me
that keeps you on my mind
I hate that I don't hate you
no matter how hard I try
I hate the way I love you
and how I always have
I hate that I can't tell you this
and all the reasons why

Love/hate, classic, rejection really is one of the worse fears some people hold...seems to me its better to be rejected and start to mend, then feel the sting of not knowing for always.

thanks for the comments. 10 Things I Hate About You was part of the inspiration. And Thanks Alanarchy, fixed the omitted word.

Bella speaks the truth, but then, I know how the situation can be a thorn in your side. This was true poetry, and the thoughts expressed are perfect examples of how love can rain on your parade. Paramount. I enjoyed. One thing though. I think you left out a word from that fifth line down. Write on.
