I Do Love The Theatre

By Efamilia

The puppet master got angry
When his puppets cut the strings
(why be tethered then abhorred;
have to do His little things?!)

A pitbull came to elope the ropes
Around the throats of those with goats
And any not praising his bloodlet plays
Were flayed on parade
And set alight his stage

A story obscene
But compelling it seems
So many want in
On this legalised sin

They come baring arms
(saving others from harm?!)
And if performing their best
Up with Him they shall rest

How I do love the theatre, though
And especially the end
When all applaud as to ascend
Only to find it was just pretend
