A Mother's Wish
By Err0r
When you took one step
I'd take two.
Because I needed to go farther
Than you.
And if you sang softly,
I'd sing louder
Because I needed to be heard more
Than you.
And If you cried when you were lonely
I'd tough it out
Because I needed to be stronger
Than You.
And if you were attacked
I'd take the hits
Because I needed to protect better
Than you.
And If you reflected In A mirror
I'd shy away...
Because when I looked at you
I saw me.
And when I have kids mom...
I'll wish for the same thing too
That my child succeed better than me
Just Like I Did
For You

Beautiful, you words are sweet and meaning is dead on. I am not close to my mother, but I am there when she needs me to be. ~T
