  • "sometimes i wonder if fearing the other is not actually seeing in them a part of ourselves..the part we hate and that scares us...i like the flow...the way you describe a very painful scene with the right words and images...love...abuse..and fear...is it really love ? thank you for a beautiful work...though i hope it's not real..."

  • "I liked the opening image.. the burnt hand and the fist that never fell... both seem to work well together, maybe. I also like the concept of pity and fear; I think the final stanza voices a good cerebral point. I think the falling to the knees before the beard on the shoulders through me off.... but, perhaps, this is intended to indicate the smallness of the persona when compared to the spit throwing other... the 'you' of the poem. I'm not a huge fan of second person perspective in poetry, but... it does have its effective moments. thanks you."
