Choas to Peace

By SilentDreamer

The world is closing in,
Adding to the weight on my shoulder.
They sag,
I seem to weight a ton.
My temper flares,
as it becomes tight.
One thing right after another,
shifting feet no longer let me avoid.

The river is formed, behind theses eyes, deep in the heart.
But
the dam is tall and strong.
It pushes against the dam,
small bits trickle over,
drying up before the reach the ground.

My body wishes to crumble,
my mind soon to follow.
Where is the path I tumbled way from?
Where is my mask to hide behind?
My shield? My sword? My mind?

It’s all crashing down,
dart from one place,
dart to the next,
dart right over the bank.
The river floods the dam,
as finally a break is given.
No more going.
Nothing.
The world has backed away.
There was never a second thought,
as the car flew over the side.
Peace.
