Stab my heart, maybe I'll feel.

By SilentDreamer

My hazel eyes watch,
As they smile and cheer.
I see the light feeling in their eyes,
The feeling that I should feel.
I remember is warm glow well,
But foreign it is tonight.

My drive… my will,
Lost in the swirl of words and anger.
Feeling the glow I try,
Nothing surfaces.

Stab my heart,
Let the blood flow,
maybe then I shall feel.

My steps sloppy and sluggish,
Theirs bouncy and smooth.
Their eyes shining,
Mine dull.

I stand alone,
Lost and empty.
I call it the end,
Time to move on.
It's all gone,
Nothing more to gain.
It's time to let go.

Tears flood the floor,
But my heavy heart feels nothing.
No pain… no guilt… nothing.

Empty and cold as a rock,
I weep.
It's all over now.
