Last Dance

By SilentDreamer

Dance...
let you feet fall softly.

Dance...
let the music flow through you.

Dance...
till the light fades from your eyes.

Dance...
on the thin line,
between life and death.

Hold...
the blade softly,
rest it on the thread.

Play...
with your life,
one last time.

Before...
you slip.

Bones...
breaking,
the blade falls,
snapping the thin thread.

The dance...
is over.

Life...
is done.

You danced your last dance.
