Today I seek the horizon
to drape myself in blues and golds
sunrise, sunset within and without
I’d be each dawn and dusk.
The scent of morning falling soft
and silky on my skin,
notes of grass and wind,
night’s sweat dissapating
in the early cool.
Or night, a chilled perfume
of moss and musk,
a touch of rust,
a hint of starkissed pine,
tingling down my spine,
twilight’s sweet cologne.
Will you see me
when your eyes open
to amber melting over sky,
molding landscapes to itself,
sweet promises of warmths and life?
Will you hear me
in that first breeze,
rustling trees, breaking its fast
over river rocks, bird nests,
tiny habitations
where creatures open jewel eyes
to a new day of living.
I can only hope you do.
Because in my mornings,
in my nights
in every silky twilight
I only see you.
I only see you.
