Steel Stars

By Step_20

Years gone by turned black and white
eyes sunk deep as the truth
You spend your years to make it right
but who the hell are you?

Under stress your eyes turn red
And heart takes leave when victims pled
‘I would save you all,’ You said
Rejected though you do your best

Eyes close; Steel Stars
To fit inside the shiny bars
Ready or not, but here you are...

...Fucking naked again
Under microscopes of mice and men
asked to turn your head and then
you reached until your fingers bled

‘What’s in your head?’

The scales of justice start to bend
under messages you try to send
Cuz you saved them from a wound that would never start to mend
Now turn all our fucking heroes into other leather men

Eyes close; Steel Stars
To fit inside the shiny bars
Ready or not, but here you are...

In the most convincing chair
To peel until your soul is bear
‘Never me again,’ You swear
Now you’re normal, You Don’t Care
