Death of a Soul

By Moratha

Self imposed isolation creeps in
Familiar and unwelcome
What path is for me
Do I forsake self or them
A feeling best left unfelt
I cry for my soul
No one must hear the scream
Or know who I truly am
Keep my secret kindred souls
We live on others emotions
None of our own to give
Empty immortal, please tell
There is no meaning or purpose
Why cold life gives
There is no love or hatred
Joy or sorrow to share
Faded memory of what was
Can never be again
A choice I made long ago
Never come again
