In Due Time

By Eric

To all my choices
To all my mistakes
Past, Present, Future
Please forgive me
Ive stumbled on this road
Im sure ill continue to stumble
Its part of this life we all must live

I'll play dead
Until I find a way out

I'll slip off the edge
Until I find a way to fly

Tomorrow ever after

I do not know what they hold
Nor do I know what the ocean tide will bring

But I do know what I feel inside
I do know what my heart tells me

I know that the stars still shine above
The planets of our solar system still orbit in
synchronized ambient harmony

I know that the sun still rises, and sets
I know that the moon still hangs in the midnight sky
smiling down upon the sleeping Earth
I know that the wind still blows the sea to whatever end
I know the forests still fill with the life of millions
The grass of the golden fields under soft blue sky still flows in the breeze

I know all this
But I do not know what tomorrow brings
But whatever comes with the morning sun
Im sure of these things
You are you
I am I
The sun surely rises
The moon surely falls
The birds surely chirp
The whales surely call
The fruit surely grows
The planets surely turn
Everything has a reason
Every reason has a rhyme
But together we'll meet this
In due time.
