Timeless

By Nightwing

Sunrise breaking
Over a grim horizon
Ghetto buildings of ancient brickwork
Threatening to topple
Plywood sheaths
Replacing lace frilled curtains
A cold wind that whispers of angst
Chills the world
It shudders
From cold
And centuries of standing
Time a grim warden
Stand on the edge of the curb
Take off your wristwatch
Cast it to the street
Let it be destroyed
Beneath wheels of justice
And for a fleeting moment
Revel in a world that has no time
Until you go to walmart to buy a replacement
They have them on sale for $5.99

Loved it! Adorable with a touch of funny, and you drew me in. The ending was too perfect! Great job. Julia~
