LOST IN THE SHUFFLE

By AnotherWitheredRose

I love You's are like planting flowers
In the desert of your heart
My innocence says it will grow to something beautiful
But my naivete wilted away in the heat of your presence
Which only presents the truth

(We will not be convinced)

Because you've been burnt
And I am hollow
This relationship is destined only for sorrow

(Because it takes too much strength to care)

But still I'm lost in the shuffle
Of the barren wasteland in your chest
And now I'm getting wasted to ignore
The feelings I can't confess

- but my tongue is dancing behind these lips
that wish to kiss a smile to your face-

(They only bleed biting back the urge)

You look at me as if your eyes could pull secrets from mine
And I focus my vision in time enough to see you cry
Darling your tears never tasted so sweet
(Like gumdrops falling from the sky to a techno beat)

-At least It's not so dry-
