the dance party

By ColourGod

ten pages at a time
jack kerouac sweats
he never complains
there is too much for you
too much to comprehend
too much to wrap your mind around
too much you can't defend
secrets only reveal
that which you do not tell
a heart's lost lament
a finger's lost spell
the tale of the forgotten
represented by our hell
a serpent's lost dream
that only i compel
broken amongst the glass
forgotten amidst the dust
blown along by the breeze
your death means nothing to me
separate but equal
you will never realize
contemplating
understanding
leads to lies
of love and hate
that you cannot relate
to anyone but yourself
you are that
which is all of this
you are the love that's always missed
a contemplative bliss
you choose to live
i am one
you are all
i catch your slack
you still fall
deeper into the colder water
swallowed by your thought
"i only leave what i have taught"
a realization only men have sought
fathoms phantom
your belief bewilders the wild
your simplex so combined and raising chaos child
a blip in your eye
heard only by your heart
a desperate grasp to relieve yourself
so fraught for in your masturbation
a grateful lack you have forgotten
believe the lies that ring the truth
a blessed growth of given proof
death only deserves the god
you are gifted and begot
so simplify your forgotten text
and tell us all what lays next
a blanket of your darkest thoughts
to keep the evil thoughts at bay
cover yourself
breath in your damp air
fiddle with you mind
breath out despair
compare me to you
are you still there
or do i need to ask
for your empty glass
let me fill that up
here is the blood requested by your kind
a popular choice so rarely declined
oh, so you dropped your goblet
never mind that
here is your suit
for the dance
try it on
let us see you prance
pretty
pretty
you look so good
it is time to dance then eat some food
this hall is grand is it not
food for all to fill the gut
pleasantries spread out for all
listen to the tales of all they saw
a great life they have lived
now we've heard
how you wish you only could have
but the music is playing it is time to dance
where is your date
has she caught the glance
of another lover
left you all alone
desperate and forgotten
remembered only by your failures
a dark and handsome man too close to understand
you grow too weak and watch the dance
not knowing what will come next
retreat to the mountains with the one you have
not the one you will find
hear jesus singing
hear the dishes chime
