The Snake's Sugar Coated Lies

By waterchica999

Shallow tears run down your face
sympathy? Pain? No, a master about to begin another show laced with sugar
everything's quiet the show will begin
the right audience chosen to play their part
no screaming or yelling no proof for the doubt
what’s going to happen when he comes out
the words are like music hugging your soul
a look or disguise that clings to your heart
one touch from his life’s
is the sign 'that’s it'
another is caught
in a vein of lies
circulating in the depths of your body
behind those brown eyes
that I can't see threw the fog
like a leaf caught on this current called life
not knowing where to go
till comes the snake that slithers on by
moving the current while studding his pride
takes in the leaf with his poisonous teeth
then leaving her
when he realizes she is of no need
