The Crossing

By Nexus

Death's shadow has fallen upon me,
Weakened, misguided, and truly unfortunate,
It gave me no chance to beg or to plee.
i had no family, no one to lament,
My, terrible misfortune, a needless event.

Deprived as a child and shot at eighteen,
I could not experience this world
And everything it offered both beatiful and serene,
It means nothing now,
My body lye cold, far from pristene.

It was not my time to die,
I'll say it again.
It was not my time to die,
My life had but to begin.

I saw a bright light,
And my body went cold.
My future looked bright,
Or so I was told.

I heard some shouts,
And ran over to see.
There were some boys with a gun,
Unaware, it meant the end of me.

This wasn't my time, this was not my time.
These boys will pay for taking my life
I don't know how and I don't know why.
I wish I could kill them,
They deserve to die!
