The End of a Fairy Tale

By Lucklost

A young princess set her rubie tears free to roam new lands...
To a different horizon of cold maple floors.
Maple floors that lead to porcelin tiles with walls of blue and offwhite.

The tears became rivers, never stopping until her frail body made a dam.
A dam made of human flesh...
Flesh so delicate that even the slightest "ping" would break another river free.

Should her body break the river will overcome her;
Her eyes will close for a last time and become one
With the Holy Spirit once more.

Funeral Day will come quick.
The roses fresh and the grass dead.
Family surrounding her beautiful scarred body,
Draped in the delicate rays of the jaundice sun.

Soon she'll become a forgotten memory,
A memory reminding her prince of the past.

But the past is when it became the end.

The end of all knowledge,
The end of all emotion;
Simply its the end of what was.

    "The tears became rivers, never stopping until her frail body made a dam." draped in surreal light. Kind of sad. I enjoyed this. Well written.
