SIBLINGS

By coly

Siblings are crazy
The way we scream and yell
Saying such harsh words every once in a while
Like I hate you or I wish you would die
But then in a blink of an eye
You wish you could take them back

My little brother was taken away two years ago
And now were in different states
It makes me cry sometimes to think
I’m missing his important years
The years he decides who he is
The years he becomes something more than a little boy
His first serious relationship
Or
His first touchdown

I wish I could take the harsh things I said back
Or at least the way I treated him
Because now id do anything just to be in his presence each day

To hear him laugh or smile
Even shout
Id do anything to get the good days back

Even though we talk a lot and sometimes even visit
I just wish

Each day had him in it

Although this is my wish
I still get excited with every single phone call
and every shiver I feel when he crooses my mind

I love you brother
