The Pit

By LordBrosnian

screaming for my sight to heed her stride
she walked with poise and vigor at her side
Pale rythm'd skin which kept the speech at bay
she walked thro nightfall conquering the day

Her eyes reflected mysteries of blue
With all elysium's secrets shining through
Or were they green I shant recall nor care
For flowing free was gentle fiery hair

My harken sight drank beauty in the light
Cast from the broken moon, enchanted night
So calmy striding with such confidence
Which only forced me, blinking, to pretend

Far neath the wells of my irreperable heart
that ravaged pit which twitches, torn apart
It bit me like an unexpected beast
Which claimed my violated soul its feast

Such chapped, forgotten pieces of my swamp
Inflamed me with an urgency to taunt
this goddess, wicked sorceress which walked
as a fawn awaiting to be stalked

Infused in conversation didst we fall
onto the gentle jade of autumn's ball
Her smile brought to sight such perfect teeth
elluding to perfections, still, beneath

She rubbed her hands athwart my chest to find
The scraps of heart vexed harpies left behind
Before my harken sight had licked her walk
Before my eager ears had mused her talk

She, finding such a heart as dead as mine
Swore openly my love must be refined
I quarried quietus had claimed my heart
Forwarned, she still devoured ev'ry part

She licked her lips as serpents licked the boughs
Denuding all her tired, lonely clothes
While kissing 'top the surface of her chest
I bit beneath the layers of her breast

And thro the ribs the pilaged cracking bone
I found a varnished heart to call my own
With savage bites I ripped through every thread
Until the last drop of her heart had bled

The light of secrets once pervading eyes
Of green or blue the lustre slowly died
Until the smile melted - tepid line
Screaming of the story which was mine

This piquant doll of ages - sorceress queen
Now felt the pit of horror once in me
Alone she walked away, defeated beast
To search for other men on which to feast
