In presence of your light ( I wilt)

By LordBrosnian

I took so many shallow breaths thro'out my fading days
And walked beneath the shadows of my outstretched fingers raised
For darkness lived within my eyes impinging on my ways
And always cowered 'neath the shadows hiding from the rays

Yet even when the light relinquished - swallowed in the haze
Deep inside I felt it burrow - kindle - SET ABLAZE
It haunted me in darkness as I thought about those rays!
Which seem'd to pour out from her piquant ethereal gaze

In presence of the glinting stare Thine shimmering green sea
Were hues only beheld in dreams of hidden destiny
Until the scapes of dreams were choked by viscious savagery
And pleasant sights were smolted, left forgotten to recede

Never had a stare been given quite like that to me
A Gaze so bold it moved my soul to venture yon the reef
Unfettered, didst I walk to meet the owner pleasantly
To drink the breath of heaven's coo for all eternity

And Rising thro' the beatitude - above all towered fear
scorching pon my skin with iron teeth - repugnant spear
Of a woman's sweet embrace possessing to endear
Her touch - I cannot bare the lonely whispers 'top my ear

Whispers of sweet promise in the aery future near
As her lips stopped moving didst my dreaming disappear
Melting back into the darkened orb - The hazel sphere
Aspirations and Temptations washed away with fear

Nice ... wonderfully written .... the touch of another especially the oppostie sex .. is powerful, the heat that enmits from the very touch

if not to watch the heart you wish to hold back against the corner. sit there and stare in fear, afraid to share the most powerful thing there is ... but from past heart breaks and un felt love they know of nothing better
