Helm of my Heart

By LordBrosnian

She waited - timid and unsure
Looking down at the ground for an answer
Nothing comforts in the see of tile
She looked up and smiled - crooked - like her past
Piercing thro all which my crooked stare drank
Atop that waving sea of faces
Below the shining idol sun
But never did we touch - Never could we touch
For something - some entity stood in my way
I promised I promise to have her some day
In my arms in my hands
In my eyes there she stands
But unlike the rest she stood out of the way
With skin so smooth fiberous perfect and sweet
Like cream with no wrinkles not blemished just sweet
Like a ripe summer apple awaiting a bite
Like the fog rolling eagerly thick and discrete
Like the glow of the moon on a dark, cloudless night
Like the sweet waited tear on a virgin's first night
Like a feeling of clarity - an infants first sight
As I felt - like a child - I craved as one too
The urges which fill the subconscious adew
To feed and to lust and to sleep through the night
With this girl by my side - A new warmth through the night
Words flew from tongue tips and smiles were given
But still there he stood my own will torn and riven
And as he stood blocking my soul only tightened
My gaze set ablaze while I watched our fruit ripen
