The New Moon

By Saschwann

In the dark of the new moon
My fears will come to pass
Laid bare for all to witness
The stark beauty of nature entwines with raw passions

And the goddess Sings in joy
The children scream with laughter
Innocence is deafening
And Guilt is silent

Though it doesn't always seem so
Our dreams can become a reality
If only we believe them to be
So we're told, but they lie.
