Make Believe Love
By Lisa Vicious
Integrity, intangible, a miracle….
Letters written but never sent for blue eyes only to read what I really
meant,
in between the lines, the lies, and the pain
lived a girl who loved you ,
A girl hell bent on being a woman.
All the pills and the booze and the choices made wrong,
the trauma, the stomach pumping, the flow -
of falling in love with falling in love,
is getting old.
I gave you my heart, you kept it in a jar -
pickled with my tears like Chicago rain,
do you remember that night we met?
You sucker-kissed me and the room began to spin,
I’d give a lifetime of truth for you to pretend you love me again.
There are days I wish we never met.

Aww this just hurt me so badly, sorry that you had to feel this pain. It had a good tune to it, it was full of sorrow and it nipped into your soul... ~nightly

the wrong word.
That your tears should serve as the preservative in that jar is a wonderful irony.

Wow. Insanely passionate. I don't think there is much else to say. It does a magnifencent job of knocking the reader to the floor in no time at all.
I love the imagery of a pickled heart, and i think it does wonders to express the loneliness--no that's
