Dear Jezebel

By Lisa Vicious

Dear Jezebel
I’ve hurt you so bad
My broken heart aches
When he rattles your cage.

I have no right and it’s not my place.
When I look in the mirror, how
Strange, my reflection has become
His face.

And I wonder Dear Jezebel
How I can came to be
In the presence that haunts
In the blue eyed chains that bind me.

Dear Jezebel
I’ve hurt myself so bad
For I am a pawn in his game
And nothing more
It’s all a con.

Dear Jezebel
It scares me when he
Gets so mad.
I try to leave but he always
Pulls me back.
