The Ties that Bind

By Crysa

Chains bind you,
your stuck in sticky glue.
Nowhere to escape to,
nothing left to do.

Your tangled in a web of deception
blinded by unerring lies,
ruled by desperation,
can hardly wait to die.

A burning redness
overcomes the light.
Darkness settles,
anger welcomes the night.

Overwhelming grief
life be the thief,
death is salvation.
Free the army of fear
from desolation.

I must get away from you
and your disillusioned view,
though survivors are few,
I'm not like you.

Through the helplessness and pain,
you have forgotten,
what you ever wanted to gain.
When the ties that bind
are knotted into a mess,
no one minds
if it's properly dressed.

I scratched your back,
you stabbed me in mine.
Your about to crack,
I'm next in line.

The pint up aggression,
a floundering obsession,
seemingly mindless,
annoying little pest.

Empty words filling the space,
blankness on your face.
A trivial position,
an unearthly submission.

Your crying on death's shoulder
for that which there is no cure,
seeking the oblivion
thats all ready come and gone.

Sensuous meaning
in things that are deceiving,
tempting fate
was your ultimate mistake.

Anger shrouds the infidelity,
while fury burns into infinity.
The whispering echos of vicious crimes
falling on the deaf ears of time.
