As I am born

By ONEANDLONELY

The day turns to rain,

and the sky gray.

Clouds fold together;

the air becomes bitter.

Sheets of rain, turned to knives of sleet,

stab at the earth below.

And all the trees...

Stripped of their leaves...

Shiver.
