Like Everyone Else
By wannabe_rebel
Only the end of the red will show you my blue side –Rooney
I don’t have any voids for you to fill,
No pain for you to kill.
At the bottom of the pool of these wet eyes
Is nothing more than truths and lies.
I’m just like any other girl you’ve known
Who doesn’t want to be alone.
I let you believe I’m pure and clean
But you don’t know the things I’ve seen.
The grinding gets louder,
My bones are only powder.
What’s the point to every night?
Staying up late to meet the light…
I’ve stolen your will
And you swim through my veins.
I’ll smile through the chill
When nothing else remains.
It’s easier to love you than not,
Simply more normal to live than rot.

"The grinding gets louder, My bones are only powder." Great line. I picture someone angrily grinding their teeth down til their whole head is gone. Bravo! -Gideon
