Patriots

By Aethelwyne

Try as you might
You will never hear
America's children
Crying out in fear
Though they miss their loved ones
Their fathers, their mothers
And face the fate
Of their friends and brothers
Knowing the enemy
Is not foreign to pain
For their country they'll die
Fight
Kill again

Having a political moment? It's good all the same, and I agree with your political views.
