Not because I should

By innocence

God, who's he?
Oh the one who's always there
My bad, I forgot
I thought he never cared
Prayers, Oh that
the thing you say what you need
with all the prayers around
God will never heed
God and prayers
every single night
who cares how you feel
just do as they say is right
The priest, Oh them
who knows all and tells no lies
but when you ask of their religion
they say never ask why
The Bible, Oh yeah
the all knowing book
with so many contradicting themselves
yet no one gave them a second look
Priest and the Bible
who tell you everything
how to live your life
you're a slave and not knowing
you ask me why no religion?
and this is what I say
as long as I do as I think is right
I will not be the one to pay
because I don't need a religion
because someone says I should
If I found a suitable religion
then ok, alright, I would
So just stick to your beliefs
As I will with my own
because I wont believe in something for someone
and that you can write in stone.
