live again

By Just a Rose

I’m not living anymore
Because I’m afraid
To let go…

Let go of the past
That I gave up so long ago

Maybe If I refuse
They won’t die,
You won’t die

I cannot embrace these new moments
Because they are without you

Memories I can’t relive
Although I have tried
So many times I have tried

The past is gone
And my time here isn’t long

I will return
To you
And I will then begin to live

But for now
All I can do is wait
For the day I come back to you
To live again

I think Cher said it best when you said, ::man voice:: "DO YOU BELIEEEEVE IN LIIFE AFTER LOVVVVEEEEEE." No, but seriously... not bad at all. I smell a poet in the making; keep writing.
