And From My Existence....Pain Wept Through

By SorrowSoul

Within this struggle, my daily combat
I lose the strength to fight this losing battle.
From frustration to loss, from anguish to fear
This sorrow encases my forever dying breath.
This sadness is a repetition in my misery
But the longing in life the same with each passing hour.
I want to know what it will take for me to get by.
Haunting reflections of the past, painful reminders.
My every efforts never enough for you and your world
Crawling on hands and knees, shackled in blind love.
What I wouldn’t give to be a slave
To your ways just once more.
Maybe with one more go I could see the truth.
Maybe I could give justification to the things
I did for you.
Maybe I could find there was more
I could have done.
Maybe I could have seen why
it never worked.
But all the maybes in the world
Won’t bring you back.
I gave you my heart and returned it
Crushed and lifeless
And this all that my life has become.
I despise being a fading and forgotten memory
In your life.
I can’t bare to just be a special place in you heart.
Those words you gave in your final good-bye
So cold, so emotionless, too real.
When pain is all that is left,
Nothing else seems real.
