Last Gasp For Oxygen

By SorrowSoul

The angel that keeps me alive
is my queen that I have lost.
Screaming in disbelief.
How could all this exist no more?
A blinding beam of light
is a whirling calm of sadness,
an unwished, undeniable realization.
Liquid pain of unknowing
becomes the stillness of servitude.
Anticipating the justification.
Crucifying silence becomes all that you give.
Blinding serenity is the terror you bring.
My efforts matter no more.
Searching for closure within confusion.
Return this favor for relief.
Did it feel better for your soul, your heart,
when you cut the stitches that held me.
If the prayer is heard,
does the dream come true?
Do your lies remain?
Do my scars disappear?
I'll be the nothing you crave.
I'll be your fading memory.
You know who I am.
I am the one who will never leave your side
and now I need you until my end.
Guess what?
I'm dead.
