“a rememberance haiku ii” (4-26-05)
footsteps bear mem'ries,
lost within the undergrowth,
held behind the eyes,
can particles breathe,
when secrets wreathe and choke us?
wind should know the truth,
but wind often blows,
whichever way convenient,
to cover lost ties.
we will never stop,
let us not remember why,
but how to (forget),
day as these serve as-
thieves, held with such amnesty,
but we are not phased.
