Freedom
By Anoblechicken
I use to believe, freedom was free,
but as each day passes, I see
Freedom in not free.
This vacant sea, of hopes and dreams,
was lost, and it seems,
everything,
has become an empty stream of apathy
How many people
have repeated the same history?
Now-a-day no one makes a difference
They're few and far behind.
Can't seem to understand
Even originality is defined
Watching the sun set
on the field of green and red
I see now you can be free
In death.

that's one way of looking at it. freedom is a state of mind. even one incarcerated at ft. leavenworth can be and feel as free as a bird...however that person would also be one crazy fucking bastard :)

but also another way to look at it is that people subconsciously choose to be "free" because they're too ignorant and/or unwilling to see the truth and/or fight for freedom.

"for the people, by the people" was america's first lie...democracy's first smokescreen and after 200 years i feel it's time for some change that voting just won't correct...heh...no better correction than insurrection.

*smiles* freedom, such a watershed of ideas, death and hypocritical values...no one knows what freedom is any more, its just a catechism for a war between lefty's and righty's and i believe that neither is correct...freedom...pffft...well written :)
