Midnight Thoughts
By Metal Lullaby
Swoon of the breath, fade of the eyes
I lay me down to sleep upon the midnight bed
Hoping, praying, screaming, no more lies
What is it she whispered, what is it she said
Those words that caress my soul with velvet ties
I seep, I pour of life, of rich crimson reds
This epoch of mine so full of sighs
This heart of mine sadness weds
I heard about the cool tears
I felt them burn, I felt them sear
How, how can she deny her fears
Wouldn’t it be nice to wander in here
In the golden warmth of Ambrosia years
We can take, we can grasp and wring out the world
Of all its ill and suck in the deep blithe air
Running, twirling, with wings unfurled
Reaching the sun and melting back into the fair
Putting back the duties, putting front the flowers
Kissing the sweetness before it sours
And goes away in agony, in pain of persuasion
In sadness, in Hell’s exultation
Fill my breath, pluck the strings of my soul
Drive me to swoon and fall into heavenly arms
Show me the magic that makes one whole
So that forever I shall have one that warms
How much more can I say?
The sense, the will of her heart will ever persist
And drive in the yonder earth of darkened way
I feel it coming, I feel the strengthening resist
Blood will fall like rain in may
Where flowers blossom and air fills with mist
But what more can I say?
It will be there, …it will always exist

Awesome write...you can feel the emotions in the words. I admire that. I just hope that my work will be thought of in just the same way.
