never again

By Nuada

woke up and the world had changed
love turned to hate
what did I have to gain?
woke up to a lie
my love was stolen
with a callus grace and style
the pain it lingers like an old wound
this one wont heal this one wont die
never again to open the heart
never again to be so naive
the way it works i dont get
the way it lingers i wont forget
never again i now shout
never again to feel that joy
its remorsless in its agony
when it all falls apart
for reasons unknown
and no answers in sight
I continue on alone again
with my pain.
