Hypnophobia

i'm trying to think
but i can't clear my head
i just can't get past
this feeling of dread
i can't go to sleep
who knows what might creep
so i open my eyes wide
splash water in my face
get up and quietly begin to pace
but after a while i'm tired and spent
i sit down and begin to relent
my eyes are starting to droop
no i can't get stuck in the endless loop
