so fast the streetlights blend
into one drive me away from
blue eyes vapid women
fivedollar cups and onedollar shots
this is how they live their lives
just don't drive me back home to
a bed i call my own &
the echo of her voice,
take me to another place
where their hair is blonde not brown
& they look into your eyes for lust
not into your soul for love.
