The Gem

By Guttercat

I have no wishes for you
No pain, nor hope, nor sufferance

The morning frost ate my breath
Will you bury me when I'm gone?
The endless toil brooks my silence
Do you notice when I disappear?

Prayers swish in gales of laughter
I have professed no anger
Meditative hours spent so lonely
My dreams are never free

I went down on that road
Only fools speak of deliverance
