Wilted Cinderella

By Silent_Raven

You kissed me once upon a time,
In the budding innocence of childhood,
And with that kiss you unleashed Pandora’s box,
A cacophony of wishes, love, and desire,
All tainted black with your indifference.
And every year with the lustful green of summer
You came to me
And kissed me crazy with that velvet tongue,
A rose of a kiss, with its bloody thorns
To charge me for your love,
Forgetful, mocking, painful thorns
That only made this forbidden love
The sweetest I have had.
And in the summer nights,
Pregnant with the smell of jasmine,
You stole my innocence away
And wrapped it in the stench
Of stale-wine dreams and all
My childish fantasies,
And while each year
I stayed the same gullible girl,
You grew and gained experience
And suddenly you love me no more-
I am still only a child before all your glorious manhood,
And so this summer is cold,
Barren and forgotten like the
Virgin flesh of my womb,
For you are Man now,
And you've abandoned all my innocence
And the inexperience of our
Adolescent summers,
And this year you have taken me
And raped my platonic love for you,
Used me
And sucked the youth
From the pale flesh of my virgin breasts,
And after you were satisfied
You left me, burning and quaking,
In the damp sheets of your cold betrayal.
I look at you now,
The first to ever show me love,
The one who opened my heart and
My libido,
The one who led the way for those
Who followed,
The love that I grew up with,
And I feel my heart rotting
As you look back at me with indifference
And disdain.

WOW. Your use of words is amazing. I'd be speechless too had I not read it a second time to admire once more. ~T~
