Why Dark Poetry? You Ask.
By Angel With The Scabbed Wings
People always ask me,
"why do you write dark poetry".
So this is for all of those people
who just don't understand.
why is my work so dark and demented you ask?
For reasons you would never understand.
I think in my head,
For some reason everyone is hurt
when they are told they do not know.
So I reply with the easy,
"this is my vent from the world"
still they have no idea what goes
on through this work of mine.
To me this is raw emotion,
straight from my heart,
Filtered through my mind
then stirred for a moment,
then finally transcribed onto paper.
It is in the dark where I find my pain,
and my pleasure.
Where you can not see
I see what is beauty to me.
Having such emotion put
into these simple words
no matter what it is,
is beautiful to me.
Why you find your beauty
in the things you do
confuses me.
But I do
not ask why
it is you love the things you love.
Nor do I call you sick
or sad.
I just let you love the things you love.
So why dark poetry? you ask.
well there is not much to it.
where I find the whitest of canvases
is where I see fit,
That just happens to be where most people can not see.

the strongest stanza in this piece is the third--and that stanza is very nicely written

Nice, but you might want to list this piece as something other than poetry. Like other or rant, for example. It seems more like one of those... :) =-MO-=
