neither is there sweet oblivion
my fears haunt me even then
denying me the slightest respite
words of hope seem empty
love songs are beyond me
accompanied by a silent ghost
a fitting company for misery
the role of a lonely heart
is the only part known
everything I do is a pretense
a raging mind left in shadow
