Open Insecurities

By physicalgraffiti

Maturity, sensibility,
a face to see.
intelligence and intellect,
a person to be.

The character of unknown measures,
so difficult to understand.
without these traits that no one reaches,
this lonely boy withdraws his hand.

But as she walks,
without her grace,
he falls in love,
with her messy face.

Her hair distraught,
her jeans gone baggy,
she couldn't care less,
her heart identically shaggy.

He speaks with charms much like a snake.
the sort of bait his old girlfriends would take.
but the imperfect girl refuses the hook,
leaving the prince, his self confidence shook.

Love isn't real.
she explains her beliefs.
shoves into our thoughts,
from the first disney movies.
with these thoughts,
haunting her mind,
she cries herself to sleep.
wishing she were blind.
