clouds, flowers, and hands
By gracefullytorn
I held the cloud in my hand
but it quickly sifted through like sand
tears in every grain
pillows covered in pain
closed eyes reaching endless lashes
cold knives making deeper gashes
a disreputable garment
keeps my bones from becoming bent
shattered skin on weak bodies
closed minds and infedelities
twisted arms in ebrace
bring thee to thou and lost to grace
roses turned into fingers
each petal stays and lingers
thorny tools of discontent
daisies left to the innocent
here i stand
with my words trapped in my hand
