Don't Tell Me

By gracefullytorn

The night you whispered you loved me
I cried for endless hours wishing these words were true
The night you whispered you loved me
I whispered back the words I love you too
The night you whispered you loved me
I knew it was a lie
The night you whispered you loved me
I couldn't look into your eyes
The night you whispered you loved me
I took my last breath and said goodbye
I could not go on living this lie
I loved you.

sounds like true love to me... the only problem is love is NEVER an equal division... one ALWAYS loves more than the other...

Wow. The aching trapped in here, the desperation, the resignation. Wow.

This hurt. I love it when poetry leaves me feeling. You have a way with words that does just that. nice one.
